OK, so you all know my love for all things butch, so it makes perfect sense that I adore Drag Kings. Or, I would if I could find any good ones!
I spent an hour tonight on YouTube looking for a good Drag King video and this is the best I could find ….
If someone knows of any good Drag King videos or even better, performances coming up in Southern California, would you please post the links here?
I was so bummed at the lack of good Drag Kings that I’m currently in negotiations with Remi to get her to do drag for me. I promised her an all out burlesque routine, complete with costume …. and I mean an honest to God performance on par with something I would have performed for an audience back in the day. Except this one will end in less teasing and more pleasing ….
So if no one can come up with any good drag kings to quench my thirst, it looks like Remi better start practicing her boyish charms and I better limber up ….
I don’t know of any on the west coast but I have a friend in Binghamton, NY who is part of a group of drag kings called the Kings of Binghamton – name is Justin Sane. They are pretty good.

I’ve been stalking your blog for a while now but haven’t really had the nerve to comment. However, I completely share your love of drag kings and, honestly, there are some excellent performances on youtube if you know where to look
(And I’m speaking as one who has spent WAY too much time looking).

Wish I could recommend you some good performances in South Cal but I’m a London gal and believe me we’re just as starved of them over in here in the UK (probably even more so).
(And by the by – I really don’t see why you shouldn’t demand a performance out of Remi anyway. It’s not as though she’d be losing on the deal).

I know of them….I’m an upstate NYer, and they’re sorta a big deal! Some of my friends have seen them, and love them. Personally, I think Windz is better though….she’s possibly the sexiest king to ever walk the planet.
I can’t get into Windz because he reminds me too much of Creepy Thin Man from Charlie’s Angels…. lol
Besides, I know Justin Sane, and to me it is more impressive to watch a femme become a man and pull it off well. She really does…. and she’s the sweetest person you will ever meet… but maybe that’s just cuz she is my yankee gurl.

Ask Alice a local lesbian band had a Drag King as their drummer when they first appeared on the scene… She no longer plays with them though, but I think she use to do performances… I can see if I can find out where she is now. Hmm… the search is on. I would just ask the lead singer Annie who I am still friends with, but she hates her now… Lol.

I’m upstate ny and I go to the local bars all the time! I LOVE watching the kings. And Raye, YES TO JUSTIN SAINE FROM MERLINS! omg. what I love about him is that he does everything, he is always making you guess (which is rare… too many kings are too predictable.) A lot of the other kings do the same old same old. I am not entertained anymore by them.
Windz seems good, I’ve watched him live and on youtube and, even though he has the moves, he does the same stuff all the time! You see one number you’ve seen them all.
So far Justin Saine is my favorite and he is very hot.. and honestly, he’s also the nices person I’ve ever met. You should really check him out. I esp. love his new look.
