The Sexy Art of Glenn Arthur

You all know my penchant for beautiful art, especially when the subject happens to be the fairer of our species.  Recently a reader turned me on to the art work of Glenn Arthur. I took a look at his art and was instantly hooked. I would love to have one of his pieces hanging over my bed and another in the living room.

What I really love about his images is that he doesn’t use computers. It’s good old fashioned talent. If I had to describe his art to someone, I would say it’s a bit of pin-up meets rockabilly meets fantasy and it makes for some really wonderful visual delights with more then a touch of dark beauty in every painting.

I recently contacted the artist himself and asked if it was OK that I did this little piece on him. He seems like a really nice guy and this what he has to say about his art:

My work is a way for me to push the emotional boundaries and break the taboos and censorships of our so called modern society!!!

Art is my form of meditation…it centers me and helps me focus on becoming a better person through realizing my emotions and bringing my imagination to life.

So enjoy a few of my personal favorites. Every image links back to Glenn Arthur’s page where you can find out more about the artist and the art.

What is even cooler is the tattoos inspired by his work album that he posts on his facebook photos page.

Is it just me or does the Banshee one remind anyone else of Kat Von D and this photo shoot she did where she was topless and covering herself with her hands? I knwo this is totally different, but it reminds me of her. I love her.

This guy’s myspace and/or facebook site is also a good source of other great artists. I found a few new favorites just googling some of the people he listed that he likes.

OMG! I totally luv the second piece of artwork. It’s very seductive. Yet, in some ways, her tears seem to shout “MY Life Immitating Art”… And, more so in the truer sense of the phrase…if I can cannibalize truer. lol!
