While reading some of my favorite lesbian blogs, I realized that a lot of them have more then one writer contributing to their site.
Personally, I’ve always been a real loner. Which extends to my work life. Nothing suits me better, then working alone all day, every day. But it did get me thinking that it might be nice to have another voice on Card Carrying Lesbian every once in a while.
But what kind of voice?
Well a butch one of course!
So I’m officially looking for someone who self-identifies as butch, who would like to be a contributing blogger on CCL every once in while. You all know my love for all things of the butch/femme dynamic no matter how politically incorrect it may be sometimes.
So if you think you have something interesting, strong and of course very butchy to say, please email a writing sample and something about yourself to CardCarryingLesbian@gmail.com.

Hey Sasha, I’m a strong butch with strong opinions and I think I might have a lot to say that could benefit some of your readers. I’m not a professional writer like you, I do have a BA in English Lit from CSULB so I’m not a total jackass off the street.

Dear Sasha, I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, even went back and read every one of your old posts. I’m in love with your writing and would be humbled by the experience to get to blog for you once in a while. I already emailed you some writing samples.

Hey Sasha, I am the one who just “friended” you on myspace because I stumbled upon your blog on google. However I think the butch/femme blog idea is great. I have a suggestion though. Why not incorporate more than one butch? I am sure that there are many of us out there with differing views on things and even though I don’t have a degree in English, I do have a brain and a decent vocabulary… not to mention a myriad of opinions. I work in an oil refinery and am a mechanic as well. My blog is on my page if you want to see my writing. I am willing to share your attention though if you want more than one of us. I think it would be fun.
I am excited by your project. I find butch/femme a fascinating concept and am always trying to read or talk to women identifying or appearing to be either about how they identify and how they define it. Will definitely be reading the guest column.
