Would you be a fool for a woman like this?
One of my good friends is going through some pretty serious lesbian drama. I wouldn’t be blogging about it, if she hadn’t given me permission. That’s how serious it is. Let me fill you in a little ….
For her privacy and the purpose of this blog, we’ll be calling my friend, Tony.
Tony is someone that I dated briefly about 8 years ago. She was more of my knight in shining armor whenever I got screwed over by my current love affair. She was the one I would call and she always came running. Ready and willing to take me in for the night, or weekend.
But I was an idiot back then and didn’t fully appreciate what a good catch she was. Years later, we’ve grown into good friends, sans the rebound sex. So while I’m now in a committed relationship, I can look at Tony objectively and see that she deserves to be happy with a good woman. If only life were that easy.
Remember how I mentioned Tony’s penchant for playing the hero, coming to the rescue of any helpless femme?? While that may be one of her best qualities, it’s also her biggest weakness.
Enter Willa. I’ll call her Willa because she could be Willa Ford’s twin sister. Tony met Willa about 4 months ago. It was a whirlwind romance. Before two weeks were up, they were living together. Both very successful women in their chosen fields. It seemed too perfect to be true …. and so it was.
It wasn’t too long after Willa moved into Tony’s that we found out Willa was married. To a man!
Not only did Tony not see this coming, she was floored that she was bisexual. A tiny detail Willa had never mentioned. But Tony was too far gone. Instead of kicking her to the curb, Tony paid for an excellent divorce lawyer to free Willa from a miserable marriage.
OK, as her friend, this did not leave a warm and fuzzy feeling in my tummy for Willa or what I feared she would put Tony through …. as time has passed, I have not been proven wrong yet.
This story is too long for a single blog and Tony deserves more time for me to get her story out there … you’ll see what I mean in the coming installments of what is quickly becoming more of a saga then a fairytale.
FYI: Willa is not aware of my blog. After all, she’s a married woman living a hetero-life up until 4 months ago. So she’s not exactly in the know for all things dykey. Tony however doesn’t mind me sharing her story with you, because she realizes she’s too caught up in the woman to be objective. After reading some of the brutally honest comments people have left me in the past, she’s hoping to get some fresh perspectives from you, the reader.
So don’t hold back as the story unfolds. Please, tell it like you see it …. Lord knows I’ve been doing that, but does ANYONE ever listen to me?????

Hi, delurking here because this is so insane.
I don’t even know where to start but I think your friend has been had. Paying for a divorce lawyer after lying about being married?.
I would have kicked her out to the curb.
OMFG, Tony needs to realize that NO woman is worth the world of hurt this woman is BOUND to bring her. I can’t wait to read the rest. I’m already cringing.
OK, Willa Ford is one of my biggest all time crushes since the late 90′s. I feel for Tony. I know if I had a woman that beautiful I’d be done for. I’d just roll over and play dead if that’s what she wanted. Ugh, I would be a bigger idiot than Tony I’m sure. Damn you, beautiful women. How are mere mortals like us supposed to cope?
omg …is she for real ! The relationship started on a lie so how is it gonna to come of any good ..and as for your friend paying for a lawyer ..jeez man thats mad .
I think your friend is being taken for a ride .
Wake up man and smell the coffee .
you deserve better …you sound like a prince , dont settle for less untill you find a real princess .
best of luck
xx
I know all too well how easy it is to open your wallet to someone no matter how toxic and dysfunctional a relationship is. I have so learned my lesson. It’s like a trainwreck about to happen and you can’t stop watching (or in this case, participating in).
With that the drama and insanity won’t end until your friend is ready for it to end. She has to hit emotional rock bottom.
Oh boy. Brings up memories of a whirlwind summer that ended when I found out she’d lied about EVERYTHING she’d told me from the beginning! I felt like an idiot, of course. She, too, was very beautiful, and I admit that was part of what got me so blind to my guts telling me something wasn’t quite right many times. Tony is already aware that things are pretty “off” if she OK’s this blog and wants to get others’ perspectives, so Tony, girl, end it. NOW.
Stay single, stay open, learn what you DESERVE and don’t ever, ever settle for less than that!
Wow… I am so sorry for your friend… It is very easy to get caught up in the moment (especially when a great looking woman is involved)… The good thing is after only being together for four months, it wont be as hard for Tony to walk away as she may think…. Willa is taking Tony for an expensive and dangerous ride and Tony should exit before who knows what may come next. The fact that Willa did not tell Tony about her “other” life should frighten her. What else have Willa lied about? The trust bond has been broken and severed… I hope Tony gets the guts and strength to move on.
Your friend Tony and I should have a drink and compare stories one of these days. She sounds just like me. I am always eager to rescue damsels in disress. I always end up getting hurt and used. I consider myself quite successful and a catch as well. I am too generous when it comes to spoiling the femmes. That is our weakness. Think I should have learnt by now?
