The Girls of Truck Stop
The last time I was in West Hollywood it was to pick up Remi on that fateful night. You remember the one …. me in my pj’s, Remi and her friends drunk, some random girl calling me a bitch and me almost getting in a fight on Santa Monica Blvd.
But that was a couple weeks ago and Remi and I have taken that as an opportunity to fix our relationship and like the phoenix to rise from the ashes, stronger and better then before. So when Amazon invited us out Friday night to HERE, we thought it might do us some good to have some fun with friends.
As luck would have it, earlier in the week I literally ran into LB_Boi outside of our favorite gay coffee house in Long Beach. Even though we both write for CCL and live relatively near one another, we hadn’t until that moment met in person. But I could tell right away that LB_Boi was someone I wanted to be friends with. So I invited her along Friday night.
I hadn’t been out to a club in a while, and even then it was usually a Long Beach club which means super casual attire. One reason I’ve been avoiding Hollywood is the dress code always feels a little uptight and trendy for my usual flip-flop and jeans mood. The social stars must have been shining on me that day because I woke up, unusually social and excited about going out.
As soon as Remi left for work, I went shopping for a new outfit. I wanted to kick myself when I found myself buying a pair of skinny jeans. I have consistently voiced my strong opposition to these things and made several jokes about them. Karma had worked it’s magic on me and I now found myself the willing victim of my own criticism. But in my defense they were the only thing that would go with the heels and longer top I had in mind! * I swear

After getting lost, because she was busy dancing in her car, instead of reading street signs (best reason ever to give, next time you get lost) LB_Boi met up at my place, we piled in the MINI and headed out to West Hollywood.
LB_Boi and I had never had the pleasure of hanging out before so this was the first time we were hitting a club together. However, we proved to make a great team. While Remi and Amazon caught up with an old friend from the Marine Corps, LB and I entertained ourselves by dancing at the edge of the VIP area watching the women sashay down the aisle as if it were a catwalk and then yelling (while pointing) “She’s cute!” at various girls. We found this to be a great ice breaker as a few of the cutie pies were shocked and pleased with our audible approval. *mental note: hot girls don’t mind you pointing that fact out …. loudly.*
We also had a good time trying to decide if this girl that had been sleeping the entire time we had been there, was alive or not. I know this might have been wrong but I made LB_Boi take a photo with sleeping beauty. I was pretty sure she wasn’t dead.
At one point an extremely busty woman approached our group and before I know what happened she pulled her top down and both of her breasts came exploding out of her dress at us. This, I also took a picture of. A few actually.
She then proceeded to sit down and ask us for life advice on how to be a lesbian. I gave her my card and told her to read this blog from beginning to end.
LB_Boi had quite a few admirers as we walked through the crowds but no one was brave enough to approach her. Maybe because we were all in a group? I don’t know. But that didn’t stop us from dancing, talking and pointing at cute girls all night long.
In the end, I had the best time I’ve had in ages and I have to say that LB_Boi was a major factor in that. It is so rare to find people that are confident enough in themselves to be friendly, genuine and not caught up in whole “Hollywood L word image” thing. Oh don’t get me wrong, she is part of it. She knows everyone from the DJ’s to the promoters and half the people there. But she’s not stuck up about it and that’s what makes her so great to go out with.
To top it off, Remi and her got along famously which is unusual. Most bois/butches I know seem to give Remi the cold shoulder. But not LB_Boi! They hit it off immediately. So after getting to know LB_Boi I have become very protective of her and think that she needs a good femme in her life. I mean really good! Hmmmm ….. maybe we should have a dating show contest for her to weed out the drama-fueled femmes that seem drawn to her like a moth to a flame. What do you think?

Sasha & Remi are FREAK’N awesome!!! I was so excited to be invited out with them & we did have a fantastic time.
1. Yes, I got lost because partly because my Blackberry maps app SUCKS but more so because I was singing along to Taio Cruz’s Dynamite song and missed my exit. Ooops.
2. The girl with the boobs was insane! They were massive you guys, MASSIVE, the boobs, not her.
3. The girl who we thought was dead was weird because she kept tapping her feet to the rhythm of the music even though she was “sleeping”. WEIRD.
4. I don’t know who these admirers are that noticed me but I wish they had said something LOL

God I wish I lived in Hollywood!! I live in a little backwater town and I swear I am the only lesbian for a 100 miles! And when I do make the 2 hour drive to the nearest gay bar, there are no lesbians that look like the girls in your pics!

Haha..I loved, LOVED this post! I know what you mean about the pretentiousness of the clubs in that part of the world. It can all be a bit rich, but there is fun to be had if you look in the crevices and corners (like you did) and not take it all so serious. If the woman with the massive boobs is reading, I would like to know what point she was trying to make by flashing those babies. Maybe it was done with a hedonistic spirit, but it just sounds awkward to me. I would have been so embarrassed for her. I am glad that you and LB_Boi met up. That combination is atomic combustion. LB_Boi is awesome and just simply adorable. She will have the femmes lining up around the block, but I know Sargent Sasha will screen them carefully so no loonies and drama queens get past the filter. Great blog material! LB_Boi definitely deserves the best. Hope you guys go out again soon. Can’t wait to read about the adventures in store if you do! =)
For the record, Boobie Girl did not merely flash us mere mortals with her buxom bust …. oh no … that would have been too pedestrian of her …. no … she threw them at us and then proceeded to molest herself for several minutes. One boobie and then the other, making sure to pose for the camera.
The look on LB_Boi’s face was priceless. A combination of horror and surprise all in one.
I don’t want to come across as stalkerish at all, but I’m 99% sure I saw you guys when you at the VIP area. If I’m right and I’m almost sure I am, Sasha, you’re a bit of an Amazon yourself. What were you like 6 ft tall in those heels? And LB_Boi, you’re too adorable in your bow tie!!! Ahhhh be still my beating heart!

Venice Vixen … LMFAO … yes, I was in a bowtie and cardigan. Yes, Sasha was in some super high heels! But the bois she were with weren’t all that tall to begin with so we probably made her look quite a bit taller LOL

I’m jealous that there is actually a variety of clubs to hang out in, whether all faux-celebrity like this one, or any kind, really.
We only have two gay bars here and we normally avoid them both like we’re avoiding the emergency room – only go if we absolutely have to!
We’re usually jeans-and-flip-flop gals as well, but we can clean up nice, honest!
